The Pedersoli Silhouette Challenge

It was one of those days when you get to the range on a perfect day and think you are in for a hard days scoring having to make tuff decisions - was it in or out… but what I hadn't allowed for was THE MEMBERSHIP 200yrds they said at that target they said cant be done they said some even ran off home when they were told it was standing with no slings impossible was the cry and so it appeared to be I have many targets we will use again next year totally unspoiled may I suggest a little more practice would be good!!!!!!!!

Sunday 16th July, Deer Shoot, Severnside Range PRINT RESULTS: File One File Two

The first competition of the season a time to greet old friends, exchange stories and look forward to a good days shooting.
On a fine sunny day at Severnside range; a good turnout of 30 competitors and the BDS deer target to test them, shot at 100yrds prone, 70yrds kneeling and 50yrds standing a total of 9 shots to count. Shot in two classes open metallic sights and scoped rifle.
The competition was tightly contested by the best shots and the open metallic sights match only being decided on the last detail of the competition.
As usual an interesting assortment of rifles was on show they all came out of the cabinets bright with oil ah if only we could put away our shooting skills for a few months and pick them up again so fresh.
The junior match was well shot forcing at least one father to shoot a second time to avoid being out scored by his son could have been a long drive home dad!!!
After a very good but tiring (for the RO who walked up and down the 100yrds all morning) contest we retired to Phil's mobile grill for BBQ and prize giving results may be viewed in the member's area.
